Exclusive Hospital and Kitchen Information

    Coquus
    Nutrition

The solution to all the challenges and dietary requirements of the WARD.

A tool that facilitates the work of all professionals: doctors, nurses, dietitians, cooks, management control… with an enormous parameterization capacity, the best practices of hospitals and the automation of administrative tasks, achieving more patient safety, a better experience and the elimination of thousands of hours of work. A digital transformation of the food process that proposes new rules such as “no phone calls to the kitchen” or “no writing on plating labels”.

Features such as advanced integration with the hospital or nursing home so that every tray can be traced back to the patient, and floor-level Disease Related Malnutrition (DRM) utilities such as Nutritional Screening or Food Intake Control are revolutionizing the importance that hospitals and concessionaires place on their food management program.

    Coquus
    Direct Menu

Coquus allows the patient to access his/her menu through the hospital’s screens or through the patient’s, resident’s or family member’s cell phone.

A service with enormous advantages and a single essential condition, where Coquus is the leader: the menu must be always automatically customized for the patient.

Thanks to the automatic substitution system of Coquus, the patient will see a customized menu according to his/her characteristics (tastes, allergies, observations…), avoiding mistakes and unwanted expectations, and you will be able to offer the patient a view of his/her customized menus for tomorrow and the next days.

With this feature, all patients can access the menus, those with diets of choice and those without. This functionality allows hospitals to extend the menu of choice to therapeutic diets, that is, to those who need it most, without complicating kitchen management. You will be amazed at the tremendous improvement in service that can be achieved through digitization in favor of the ultimate goal of service: that the patient eats better.

    Coquus
    Purchasing

Coquus offers you a sophisticated model for managing your purchases, with multiple options to simplify your process, customize it for efficient purchasing and integrate it with your ERP or central purchasing.

This model facilitates the management of your datasheets while dealing with the complexity of the products you buy, with brands and formats and with different prices or allergens depending on the product. Fully integrated with Coquus Nutrition, to which it provides purchasing information (e.g. economic evaluations or allergens) and from which it collects demand forecasts for an accurate calculation of orders.

For small kitchens, there is a special configuration that allows you to use the power of Coquus Purchasing without addressing the digital management of the entire warehouse. A bold combination of digitization and counting to solve the challenge of purchasing without adding the complexity of digital warehouse management. A unique model especially adapted to many institutional kitchens that do not want to embark on a total digital transformation process or that want to do so in two stages.

    Coquus
    Traceability

Coquus digitizes traceability from the source.

A wide range of utilities will help you to simplify the reception, so that all you have to do is to record the events and the batch numbers so that Coquus will print the labels to re-label the product at the reception. From then on, the management is highly automated, reading the optical codes of the labels with any device. Warehouse management and integration with Coquus Nutrition will be in charge of suggesting you which products to withdraw for each production (FEFO), controlling traceability, calculating allergens, nutritional values and costs of each product manufactured, calculating the purchases you need, etc.

NOTE
Some of the functionalities of Coquus Purchasing and Coquus Traceability are in the process of being debugged in pilot installations and will only be implemented in new clients in the coming months.

Specific benefits for your daily life

Improve patient safety

Dietitians or cooks in communities make hundreds of decisions every day, introducing the risk of human error where technology is infallible. Coquus automates these decisions by putting your organization’s knowledge in your tool, not people, so that all adjustments follow your rules and are always done the same way, without error and regardless of who is in the kitchen today.

Improve the patient experience

There are two key factors in the patient experience. The first is to customize the menu to their preferences, beyond allergens. Coquus automates the customization, multiplying the use of preferences without increasing the workload of the dietitian and the kitchen. The second is to give the patient direct access to his/her menu so that he/she can choose what he/she likes best or avoid what he/she does not eat. The patient becomes more involved in his/her diet and increases his/her satisfaction, which improves the final objective: better nourished patients. We explain what it consists of.

Reduces waste and costs

Accurate management of requirements, production and consumption history, automation of food intake blocks (planned operations, ECOs, TACs…), etc. eliminates the direct waste of thousands of trays and adapts the entire feeding process to reduce costs without compromising quality. In such an information-intensive process, Coquus automation is an immediate efficiency gain.

Eliminates thousands of hours of administrative work

Many of the tasks performed in your kitchen are repetitive. Dietitians read, interpret, choose, act, and reflect these decisions in your systems to maintain patient traceability. Coquus performs all of these tasks automatically, freeing up thousands of hours that you can spend on the many more value-added tasks to fight malnutrition and make your foodservice excellent.

Comprehensive management control

In Coquus, everything is recorded: who requested a change, who accepted or postponed it, at what time, if it involved the manufacture of a new tray, etc. etc.  And all these changes are linked to specific patients, not beds, generating a single, shared report for both the hospital and its kitchen or concessionaire, allowing total management control and total transparency.
